Shampoo Information
Many customers have been asking for hair care products, and I have made several unsuccessful attempts to create a shampoo product from my handmade liquid soap. The products I have tried from handmade liquid soap have cleaned hair well but left my hair dulll and dry.
I tried several additives to improve the products, but had little success. Then I finally discovered the reason was because of an inherent property of liquid soap. The pH of the liquid soap that I make is between 8 and 9 (some liquid soaps have a pH as high as 11). Unfortunately, the pH of liquid soap can not be lowered without causing the soap to break down. The high pH of liquid soap causes the cuticle cells of hair to swell up and get rougher, which can leave your hair looking dull, lifeless, and even straw-like. Additionally, soap leaves deposits of calcium and magnesium in hard water.
Shampoos, on the other hand, are designed with pH 5 to 5.5, which allows cuticle scales to lie flat, protecting the cortex and making your hair appear shiny and smooth.
Long story short, I finally gave up making my own shampoo and after much searching and testing have found a high quality pre-made shampoo without sodium lauryl sulfate or sodium laureth sulfate. I use this shampoo every day and love it, and customers tell me that they love it too!

Conditioning Hair Rinse (8 oz)
At last we've figured out how to make our own hair conditioner, and we think it's worth the wait. This luxurious cream leaves your hair beautifully soft, silky, and manageable. It contains Green Tea Seed Oil, which has long been used in Japan to condition and moisturize hair, and Jojoba Oil, which is well known for its excellent hair conditioning properties. We've improved the formula by increasing the amounts of these oils and by adding Honeyquat (a natural honey derivative) and Silk Amino Acids. Both Honeyquat and Silk Amino Acids penetrate and moisturize hair to provide shine and luster. You’ll love the beautiful fragrance that comes from 100% pure essential oils and the silky way it makes your hair feel. To use, apply to clean, wet hair and rinse. It's very rich, so a little bit goes a long way, and it may also be used as a leave-in conditioner.

Citrus Hair Serum (2 oz or 4 oz glass dropper bottle)
